About Us At the Trinity Mother Frances CancerCARE Institute our specialized team of oncology nurses and staff are committed to providing quality and compassionate care, support and education to individuals and family members experiencing cancer.
In March 2009, Trinity Mother Frances received the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons-Commission on Cancer, which places us in the top 20% of accredited cancer programs. Established in 2004, the COC Outstanding Achievement Award is designed to recognize cancer programs that strive for excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients. A facility receives the award following the on-site evaluation by a physician surveyor during which time the facility demonstrates a level of compliance with seven standards that represent six areas of cancer program activity (cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services, research, community outreach initiatives and quality improvement). The award is given to qualifying hospitals during the year of their triennial accreditation survey. In addition, the facility receives a compliance rating for the remaining 29 cancer program standards.
