Visitation Guidelines
For our patient’s well-being, we ask visitors to abide by the guidelines we have established at Trinity Mother Frances. Please respect all “No Visitors” and “Stop, Do Not Enter” signs. These are requested by the attending physician for the patient’s benefit.
Please use good judgment and avoid visiting the hospital if you think you may be unwell. Individuals should not visit if they exhibit any of the following:
• Signs & symptoms of the flu or flu-like illness: o Fever >100º with one (1) of the following: - Runny Nose - Cough - Sore throat • Upper respiratory infection • Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea • Fever within the last 24 hours
Please do your part to reduce the spread of germs that you make you and others sick, whether you are at home or visiting someone in the hospital.

General Hospital 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Any individual entering the hospital between 8:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. must stop at the Information Desk to obtain a Visitor’s Pass in order to enter the hospital.
New Mother & Baby 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
At Mother Frances Hospital - Tyler, our Mother/Baby and Pediatric floors are secure patient areas, which means they remain locked at all times. All visitors are required to present a picture ID and be signed in at the reception desk located at the front of the unit OR they may have to use the phone located outside of the unit for entry assistance. Once the door has been unlocked, they will be able to enter the unit and then they must be signed in at the nurse’s station.
If visitors do not have a picture ID we will ask the patient’s family for permission for them to visit. All visitors must use the waiting room located near the public elevators on 2 East/West Maternity Child Unit. Children are welcome to visit, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Intensive Care Units
CICU 10:00 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. 2:00 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. 6:00 p.m. - 6:20 p.m. 8:00 p.m. - 8:20 p.m.
IMC 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
MICU – NCCU (Neuro) – SICU 4:00 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Visitors may rotate during the 20-minute visitation, with only two visitors allowed at the bedside at any given time. Please note that no one under the age of 18 years is permitted in CICU.
Level IIIA NICU (Neonatal) & Special Care Nursery We encourage families to spend as much time as possible in the NICU/SCN with their newborn(s). Siblings, age three (3) or older are welcome to visit, but must be accompanied by an adult. Due to space constraints and infection control concerns; a maximum of four (4) people may be in the baby’s NICU room at any given time. And a maximum of two (2) people may be at the baby’s SCN bedside at any given time. Any visitors who are not on the parent’s designated list must be accompanied by that parent during their time spent in the NICU/SCN.
