A Time to Refresh, Restore, and Renew
As a service to families and potential Respite Care Providers, the Respite Care staff has assembled a team of professionals from the TMF and commmunity to provide instruction on caring for children with special health care needs. Topics include: disability simulation exercises, overview of childhood disabilities, basic skills, cognitive development, behavioral issues, and community resources. Additional instruction in Basic First Aid and CPR, TB skin test, background check, and a five-hour practicum at the Saturday Respite Program are available and required for individuals who would like to be included on our Respite Care Provider Referral List.
