"Us Too" is a support group for survivors of prostate cancer and their families. This national organization formed a support group to provide a forum for participants to discuss problems and anxieties related to prostate cancer. The ultimate goal is to improve the quality of their lives. In addition, the group will serve as a source of up-to-date medical information for patients.Contact Jim Greene for place and times.

Better Breathers is a support group that meets on a monthly basis for patients with chronic respiratory disease, their family and friends. Each month a guest speaker speaks on different issues that impact the lives of respiratory patients dealing with chronic disease. Lunch is provided. Meetings take place at Trinity Mother Frances Wisenbaker Conference Center from 12:00-2:00 on certain dates.

Diabetes Support Group

The Diabetes Support Group provides an opportunity to gain valuable information from a variety of guest speakers focusing on ways to cope and self manage the chronic disease of diabetes.

Meeting times: 4th Thursday of every month from January to October, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

Tyler Area Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, and Rheumatic Illness Support Group (Includes RA, Lupus, Scleroderma, etc.)

Date/Time: 2nd Tuesday of each month (except December). Registration at 1:15 p.m. Program from 1:30 until 3:15 p.m.

Where: First Presbyterian Church's Fellowship Hall, 230 Rusk and College Streets. The entrance to the Fellowship Hall is on College Street, behind the main church building.

Visitors are welcome. Please no perfume.

Life After Loss is a bereavement class of the American Cancer Society that is designed for those who have lost a loved one within the past two years, regardless of the cause of death. To reach the Conference Center parking lot, turn off Beckham Avenue onto Dawson Street, then take the first entrance to your left. Parking is free. All programs 2pm. Rooms and dates vary. AWAKE

The A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well, and Keeping Energetic) is a support group for people with sleeping disorders. The purpose of the group is to provide support and education to individuals and their families through education, lifestyle and therapy adjustments. Meetings are held once a quarter and alternate host cites between Mother Frances Hospital and ETMC.
