Laura E. O’Halloran, MD, is dedicated to providing quality cosmetic and plastic surgery to her patients in a compassionate and confidential manner. As an attending physician for the Center for Cosmetic Surgery, she is devoted to patient education and to enable each patient to make informed decisions regarding their care. The entire staff at the Center for Cosmetic Surgery is committed to the individual needs of each patient and will work diligently to ensure a pleasant experience from the initial consultation through the end of the recovery period.
Valedictorian of her graduating high school class in Belton, Texas, she continued on to earn her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, College Station, graduating with honors. She completed her medical education at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, where she was awarded the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation and the Vesalias Anatomy Award for her academic achievements. She was also inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.
Dr. O’Halloran completed her plastic surgery residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, during which time she served as chief resident as well as an instructor for the Advanced Trauma Life Support course. She performed clinical research in several areas of plastic surgery, and has been published in the journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She has also presented her research at the annual scientific meetings of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. O’Halloran is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association and the Smith County Medical Society. Plastic surgeons that are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and are members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons have undergone rigorous training and have been evaluated by their peers on their practice of plastic surgery from both the technical and ethical perspectives.
She and husband Kevin are the proud parents of daughter Meghan and son Ian.
