NEUROSURGEON JOINS TRINITY MOTHER FRANCES HEALTH SYSTEM

TYLER, TX – Sabatino Bianco, MD, has joined Trinity Mother Frances Health System as the Trinity Mother Frances Neuroscience Institute Director and Chief of Neurosurgery at Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

Dr. Bianco attended medical school at the University of Naples Federico II in Naples, Italy where he was the youngest graduate in the school’s 638-year history. He completed a residency in neurosurgery at the University of Genoa in Liguria, Italy and completed a fellowship in neuroendoscopy at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. He then completed an additional residency in neurosurgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Dr. Bianco has written extensively for various medical publications throughout his educational and professional career.

His areas of interest include minimally invasive skull base surgery, neuroendoscopy and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Bianco brings experience with some unique procedures and techniques to the east Texas community. Among the unique procedures with which he has experience is endoscopic transphenoidal surgery for removal of skull base tumors. This approach has a much better outcome for the patient because there is no visible incision and therefore no visible scarring.

Trinity Mother Frances Health System includes Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler, Mother Frances Hospital-Jacksonville and Trinity Clinic, the area's preferred medical specialty group serving east and northeast Texas, including over 200 physicians and clinicians and 35 medical specialties.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Bianco, call (903) 525-7995.
