TMFHS ANNOUNCES VICE PRESIDENT OF NEUROSCIENCES AND ORTHOPEDICS

TYLER, TX – Rhonda Clausen, RN, joined Trinity Mother Frances Health System as the Vice President of Neurosciences and Orthopedics. Clausen came to TMFHS in June from Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi where she was the Executive Director of Neurosciences and Orthopedics.

She has served in neuroscience leadership positions at South Fulton Medical Center in Georgia and Bayfront Medical Center in Florida.

During her career in health care, Clausen has launched neuroscience specialty programs comprising a Neuroscience Institute including Primary and Comprehensive Stroke Centers, Epilepsy Center, Spine Institute, Deep Brain Stimulation Technology for Movement Disorders and a Neurological Interventional Program.

She is involved in the Texas legislative process for Stroke Excellence, joining the Governors' EMS and Trauma Advisory Council in November bringing her direct experience from Florida's initiative in passing the nations first Stroke Law. Clausen is an active member of The Stroke Belt Consortium and speaker for the AHA on Get With The Guidelines for Stroke Care.

Clausen also previously served in quality and outcomes management Corporate Leadership with Shriners International Headquarters for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
