Why Mobile Services?
At Trinity Mother Frances, we realize how important it is for patients to have access to the newest and most sophisticated technology.  That’s why we have invested in mobile services – to bring the technology to you. This flexibility gives patients the convenience of having a diagnostic test performed locally instead of traveling to Tyler.

What to expect from Trinity Mother Frances Mobile Services
Trinity Mother Frances offers tests to patients using the same equipment available in the hospital setting. The only difference is that the equipment moves from town to town rather than remaining in a permanent location.

Services Offered:

Mobile MRI
The spacious and climate-controlled mobile MRI unit is specially outfitted with a lift gate platform to accommodate the needs of patients who are in wheelchairs or on gurneys.  The scanner itself is of open design, so patients do not feel confined. The magnet for the MRI is 1.5 tesla – one of the most powerful in the industry – the same strength as the permanent MRI at Mother Frances Hospital.

Mobile Echocardiogram
The mobile echocardiogram or “echo” is transported via a van.  The equipment is unloaded from the Mobile Services van and is positioned in the host facility. Patients do not enter the van for their test.

Mobile Mammography
Our mobile mammography service ensures that women throughout east Texas have convenient access to this potentially life-saving screening. Since 1992 we have provided mobile mammography as part of our comprehensive breast care program, one of the first in the region designed specifically for breast health and care. Patients enter the van where the test is performed in a climate controlled environment. The registrar gathers the patient's demographic and insurance information, has the patient sign all appropriate consent forms, copies ID and insurance cards, and collects applicable co-payments. The patient is then escorted to the private changing room to prepare for her mammogram. In addition, we offer bone density testing as part of our mobile services, because osteoporosis is a debilitating problem that primarily strikes women as they age. Our mobile services are backed by the expertise of the breast health specialists at The Ross Breast Center. For a schedule of service locations, please call (903) 531-5433 or (800) 464-8807 or click here.
