The Wisenbaker Diabetes Center offers a variety of educational services and community programs that can help you acquire skills to manage your diabetes successfully and live a long, healthy life. Educational services target incorporating changes in eating habits, physical activity, diabetes medication, and daily blood sugar monitoring into your lifestyle.
Regardless of whether you've been diagnosed with diabetes recently or have had diabetes for many years, the Wisenbaker Diabetes Center offers diabetes education tailored to meet your needs. The Wisenbaker Diabetes Center's outpatient diabetes education program meets standards for curriculum, staffing, and educational services to receive recognition from the American Diabetes Association. Education is offered in group or individual classes. The setting is personal and informal, with many opportunities to ask questions, practice newly acquired skills, and apply them to real-life situations.
