OWEN EARNS PRESTIGIOUS
HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT CREDENTIAL

TYLER, TX - Laura D. Owen, Certified Health Care Executive (CHE) and senior vice president, Trinity Mother Frances Health System, recently earned board certification in health care management, advancing to Diplomate status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Mrs. Owen is responsible for hospital operations at Mother Frances Hospital and human resources and customer service for Trinity Mother Frances Health System.

ACHE, an international professional society of 30,000 health care leaders, recognized Mrs. Owen at ACHE'S Convocation Ceremony on March 26 during the organization's annual Congress on Health Care Leadership in Chicago.

"Because health care management ultimately affects the people in our communities, it is so important to have a standard of excellence that is promoted by a professional society," says Thomas C. Dolan, Ph.D., FACHE, CAE, president and CEO of ACHE. "Earning board certification from ACHE is one way that health care leaders can show that they are committed to providing quality service."

To earn board certification, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive exam covering subjects related to health care management, demonstrate their continuing education and professional experience, and participate in community activities.
