Mother Frances Hospital is a licensed 392-bed acute care facility located in Tyler, Texas. Since 1937, we have been the preferred provider of health care to the region, enhancing community health through service with compassion, excellence and efficiency.

In July 2003, we opened the new Ornelas Tower, home to the Trinity Mother Frances Heart Institute, the new Center for Advanced Surgery and Technology (CASAT) and 152 new state-of-the-art private patient rooms. The Ornelas Tower is a six-story, $74.4 million, 254,336-square-foot structure featuring some of the most innovative and advanced technology and healing concepts in the world.

The Trinity Mother Frances Heart Institute in Tyler is home to the region’s most advanced technology for use in the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. As the leader in heart care in east Texas since 1983, the Heart Institute continues to find innovative and effective ways of combating heart disease. In the past two decades, more than 10,000 open heart surgeries have been performed at Mother Frances Hospital.

The technology at the Trinity Mother Frances Center for Advanced Surgery and Technology (CASAT) is cutting edge, rivaling or exceeding that of any major medical center. Our internationally recognized cardiology program, advanced surgical capabilities and innovative neurological services are examples of how our System provides both high tech and high touch care to patients of all ages.

Mother Frances Hospital is a designated Level II Trauma Center with an accredited Chest Pain Center.

Mother Frances Hospital is licensed by the Texas Department of Health and accredited by the Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations.

In July 2005, Trinity Mother Frances implemented a tobacco-free policy at our Tyler and regional campuses to protect the health of all patients, visitors and employees of our health system.
